Pardon our appearance and lack of new posts on the page as of late as we prepare for a brand new Jounce.org for all to enjoy. We will be keeping up with all the important stuff though, like our upcoming summer tour dates. In the meantime, stop by the tour dates page for any info on upcoming gigs….many more to come!
December is always a busy month for us and the time of year we look forward to the most. Aside from our Annual Holiday Show which as always will take place at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ on Friday Dec, 21st (this is the 12th one people!) we are pleased to be recording our first record with Riot House Records http://www.riothouserecords.com/ this month. Look for the limited release 7″ vinyl to hit stores this winter/early spring. While in the midst of recording in the mid-west we will be playing some shows in the great state of Ohio….as well as back home here in the NY/NJ area. (check out the tour dates page for all the info your heart desires)

We will be hitting the road for short run of shows at the end of the month on our way to our set at Spaghettifest X. This will be our 4th Spagfest and we look forward to it every year. It is one of the great grass roots small festivals on the east coast held by our great friends Midnight Spaghetti and the Chocolate G-Strings. This is not to be missed!!

Its time for a late night Jounce rage as we make our first appearance at the Knitting Factory in lovely Williamsburg, BK. Our buddies from the west coast Elephants in Mud will be opening the show. Showtime is 11:59, so you will have plenty of time to get your PBR pre-game on or whatever you fancy.

We will only be playing a select few shows towards the end of the summer as our fearless ginger leader embarks on a national tour laying down the bass bombs with Richard Lloyd. Lloyd’s sets will cover his entire career, from his days with post-punk legends Television (the first band to play CBGB) through his many solo releases. Jounce has been covering the Television epic Marque Moon for many years so you can imagine how much this means to us. Come on out and show some Jounce love…more tour dates TBA

The two sold-out reunion shows for “The Adventures of Pete & Pete” were an absolute blast. This video is Danny and Joe playing the Polaris song “Summer Baby” which was featured in the the “Pete and Pete” episode, “Hard Days Pete.”

Huffington Post: The 7 p.m. Bowery show opened with a performance of the show’s grunge-pop theme song, “Hey Sandy.” Originally, the song was performed by the indie outfit Polaris. This time, the audience was treated to a reunion of The Blowholes, a band from the show fronted by Little Pete himself, Danny Tamberelli, on lead vocals and bass. (Tamberelli currently leads a jam band called Jounce).

There has been some speculation on blogs like BrooklynVegan about a Jounce performance at the event. Alas, this is not the case, however we may have something special in store for the fans who weren’t able to get tickets. Stay tuned!
